Winter 2022 Taiko Play: Dream into a New Year!
Great Lakes Taiko Center (GLTC) co-directors, Eileen Ho & Larry An of Raion Taiko, are looking forward to beating any Winter woes away with Taiko Play drumming classes in the New Year!
Taiko Play is open to all levels of experience, from beginning students to seasoned performers. Each class will be a fun mix of physical warmup, rhythm drills, and ongoing study of the song DREAM by Yamada Mizue this Winter 2022 season. Taiko Play TUE class 7:00-7:45pm ET @GLTC-Online w/Eileen. This 45min online class meets on Zoom and content will generally correlate with our Taiko Play SAT & SUN outdoor classes. Recordings of each session, along with class materials, will be available for review online. Options for at home taiko/drums and bachi/sticks will be discussed.

1/4, 1/11, 1/18 (no class 1/25);
2/1, 2/8, 2/15 (no class 2/22);
3/1, 3/8, 3/15 (no class 3/22, 3/29)
Taiko Play SAT class 1:00-1:55pm ET @Novi (MI) w/Larry & Eileen.
UPDATE 1/8/2022: Taiko Play SAT @Novi *class dates are cancelled* for Winter 2022 as part of our program change taking into consideration seasonal weather conditions and other ongoing activities on site.
Taiko Play SUN class 3:00-3:55pm ET @Ann Arbor (MI) w/Eileen. This class meets outdoors (weather permitting) with COVID safety practices. Practice drums will be provided on site; bring your own bachi sticks or ask us for options. [Class maximum: 10]
SUN class location: Olson Park picnic shelter in Ann Arbor (MI).
